Hello Fellow Sojourners!
Welcome to The Life Room Connection. I’m Renata Ellis, the founder and a Certified Leadership Coach (CLC) with an ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
As a former urban Special Education teacher and administrator by profession (and personal growth nerd by choice), I’ve spent the last two decades implementing equity- based educational and employment readiness programs that improve outcomes in schools, non-profits, churches, and grassroots organizations. My work has always been about transformation: cultivating environments where people thrive, overcome obstacles, and stretch into the fullness of who they’re becoming.
I only know how to be a compassionate truth-teller. I leverage my leadership experience and relational capital to advocate for, intervene and cheer on individuals and organizations responsibly navigating change. Specifically, personal and professional coaching for women in seasons of transition is my focus —whether that means stepping into new leadership roles, navigating midlife shifts, battling burnout, or managing life’s messiness in other ways.
My approach synthesizes coaching principles with change management frameworks to build capacity to discover and sustain meaningful momentum. We begin with where you are, and then address your strengths, values, and aspirations.
The child of a military serviceman and now the wife of a pastor, I’ve moved every three to four years—across states and across countries. So, I know a thing or two about transitions and how to keep your heart and mind open while learning to live well, love well, and be well. The ups and downs—of which there have been many—have grounded me and given me the rootedness needed to travel gracefully through this wonky, wacky, wonderful thing called life.
I wholeheartedly believe that our lived experience is a constant revision, always inviting us into deeper purpose, if we’re willing to pay attention.
